Diwakar Moorthy is a third generation entrepreneur. His family owns and operates a FMCG Wholesale & Distributorship Firm , A Budget Hotel opposite the Port Blair Airport and 2 Screen Miniplex, first of its kind in the Islands after a long hiatus of 10 Years.
Born in Chennai raised in Port Blair, did his Higher Secondary at Carmel High School, Port Blair and Senior Secondary from St Johns Matriculation Hr Sec School, Chennai. As life would have it, it was full of surprises for him. Even though he was determined not to study engineering, but finally ended up doing engineering not because he had to but he was given the opportunity to choose his own career in India or Study Engineering in UK. He Graduated with a Engineering Degree in Electronics & Communications from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK in 2004.
He is married to Dr Shanmuga Priya S, a Pathologist (Gold Medallist). He is blessed with a girl child.
He is an avid cyclist and practices yoga regularly. When he gets a chance also practices vipassana meditation.
